SUMMIT One Vanderbilt Guided Tours Compared

SUMMIT's skip-the-line Premium Experience against tours that pair SUMMIT with Grand Central or a Midtown walk: what each includes, group size and price.

Updated October 2026

The guided tour to book is SUMMIT’s own Premium Experience: skip-the-line entry, a guide through all three floors in a group of up to 10, and a digital photo package, from $162 on GetYourGuide (checked October 2026). The other tours pair a SUMMIT ticket with a guided walk outside, through Grand Central or Midtown; choose one of those if the guided part you want is on the street.

Which one to pick

  • You want the inside explained, and no queue. The Premium Experience is the only one where the guide goes through SUMMIT with you. It is run by SUMMIT, so the guide knows the rooms, and the photo package saves handing your phone to strangers in the mirror rooms.
  • You want the most for the money. The Midtown walk with City Wonders costs $74 and includes SUMMIT admission, which on its own starts at $48: you get two and a half hours of Midtown with a guide for the difference.
  • You want Grand Central properly. Both Grand Central tours walk the terminal next door before you go up. See Sight Tours’ version is cheaper and keeps the group to 12.
  • You do not need a guide at all. The standard timed ticket is the right choice for most visitors, and the rooms are easy to follow on your own.

What the Premium Experience adds

Priority entry, a guide for the full route and the photos. The rooms, the Levitation ledges and the terrace are the same ones the standard ticket covers, and Ascent is not part of it. Dress for the mirrored floors either way: trousers, shorts or tights, and no stilettos (visit tips).
